He pointed to Egypt’s active diplomatic engagement with relevant regional and global partners, aimed at countering any attempts at foreign interference in Lebanese affairs. Abdelatty stressed that these efforts also include calls to end Israeli military actions, respect Lebanon’s sovereignty and airspace, and release Lebanese prisoners.

He further underlined the importance of Israel withdrawing from the five occupied Lebanese points in accordance with international legitimacy and the enforcement of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701. This resolution, adopted in 2006, calls for a cessation of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah and for the respect of Lebanon’s sovereignty.
